Tesla will have a new product announcement on October 17.
The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, tweeted that a product unveiling will take place next week, and it is unexpected by most. Tesla and SolarCity will also follow it up with a new product announcement on the 28th. Although vague, Musk’s tweet suggests that some people know what’s coming from the American electric automaker.
Like with most things related to Tesla, there’s already plenty of rumors and speculation on what the company has up its sleeves. A safe guess however, would be the second part of the Tesla Model 3 reveal, although that would be ahead of schedule since the car isn’t set for production until late 2017.

In related news, Tesla quietly dropped the 60D version of the Model X from its lineup and we will have to wait until next week to see if that’s related to the new product unveiling.
