The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced its official range rating for the new Honda Clarity hydrogen fuel cell-powered sedan: 366 miles.

Honda says that the Clarity has the best range of any electric vehicle without a combustion engine in the U.S. It beats out its main competitor, the fuel-cell powered Toyota Mirai, by 54 miles.

The brand also points out that unlike electric vehicles which take time to recharge, the Clarity can be fully refueled in three to five minutes.

By the end of 2016, Honda intends to offer its Clarity fuel cell at 12 dealerships in California: six in Southern California, five in the Bay Area and one in Sacramento. While details of a wider rollout are unknown, Honda says that it is working to expand its dealer network as new hydrogen fueling stations become available.

Over the next few years, Honda will roll out an all-electric version of the Clarity along with a plug-in hybrid option.

The Japanese brand says it expects the five-seat Clarity fuel cell sedan to be priced close to $60,000 in total, though it will initially be available as a lease only with payments coming in at less than $500 a month. That is more than the car’s closest rival, the Toyota Mirai, which is priced at $57,500 and can be leased for $499 per month.

As of October 2016 there were 22 retail hydrogen fueling stations opened in California along with six non-retail locations.
