Sometimes it pays off to do the right thing.
A Tesla Model S owner in Germany was traveling on the Autobahn when he noticed a Volkswagen Passat driving erratically and hitting a guardrail. It turns out, the driver behind the wheel of the Passat was unconscious, and when the Model S owner realized this, he took actions into his own hands.

The 41-year-old driver called the fire department and then pulled his Tesla Model S in front of the Passat, slowing down until the Passat was contacting his rear bumper. Eventually both cars came to a stop and shortly after the fire department arrived to assist the unconscious driver in the Volkswagen. German daily newspaper Muenchner Merkur reports the driver likely suffered a stroke.
So not only is the Tesla driver a hero, but now Musk has tweeted that Tesla will provide all repair costs to the damaged Model S free of charge, and it will be expedited. The newspaper said both vehicles suffered about 10,000 Euro ($10,600) in combined damage.
