The MG E-Motion Concept is likely heading to production.
Making its debut at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show, the all-electric sports coupe will get the green light if the response at the show is positive, according to Autocar. Given its stylish design, feedback has been good so far according to the automaker’s product planning boss, Zhang Liang. The concept has a four-seat layout and it’s hard not to pay attention to the flashy doors. Details on the electric powertrain are sparse, but it has been developed in-house by the Chinese-owned British automaker and is said to take the coupe to 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in less than four seconds. MG claims its range will be more than 310 miles.

On the exterior, the MG is influenced by the brand’s upcoming ZS compact SUV, but we can’t help but see a bit of Mazda up front and even a little Aston Martin and Jaguar mixed in. The grille even resembles a Mercedes-Benz design, tossing out the traditional mesh for more unique patterns.
The British-based automaker is owned by Chinese company SAIC and if it does head to production, don’t expect to see it in the U.S.
