Last week Polestar teased its first-ever vehicle with a tricky little puzzle revealing a portion of the sports coupe’s rear-end.
Now the automaker has released another teaser for the car – but it doesn’t show more of the vehicle. This teaser is a bit more unconventional, simply telling you all the things the Polestar coupe isn’t. Polestar promises “no bullshit,” with its upcoming two-door, with no influencers helping to peddle it, no buzzwords in its promotional material and no “millennial strategy.” It’s just a straightforward, no-nonsense coupe. Nice.
The unnamed new Polestar vehicle is said to be powered by a hybrid powertrain with Volvo’s 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder under the hood. It will be paired with an electric motor for a rumored output of over 600 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of less than four seconds.

An Instagram artist pieced together the teaser puzzle from last week (below), giving us a rough idea of what the vehicle’s rear-end will look like. We wouldn’t be surprised if the production version looked similar to the very well-received Volvo Concept Coupe first shown at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Interestingly, the Concept Coupe was powered by a twin-charged 2.0-liter driving the front wheels and an electric motor driving the rears – so that may be the type of setup we see for the production version of the car being teased here.
Polestar will pull the veil from its first-ever car on October 17th, so stay tuned for all the info on this highly anticipated two-door.
