The highly anticipated unveiling of the Tesla semi truck is set to happen this week, and Tesla founder Elon Musk has made some big promises ahead of its arrival.
In a tweet authored Sunday afternoon, Musk said the Tesla semi truck unveiling will be live streamed on Thursday, November 16th. That means if you’re one of those Tesla fans who would have liked to attend but can’t make it, you’ll still be able to watch the electric transport debut in real time. The same tweet, Musk also promised the truck will “blow your mind clear out of your skull and into another dimension.”

The Tesla semi is expected to have a range of around 200 to 300 miles and may also be capable of “platooning,” – a feature that will allow a number of the trucks to autonomously drive in a pack down the highway. A lot of the parts used in the semi will be shared with the Model 3 sedan, with Musk having previously claimed it will be powered by “a bunch of Model 3 motors.” It’s also been described by Musk as a “very spry truck,” that can be driven “like a sports car.”
We’ll have all the details on the Tesla semi when it debuts later this week.
