Rimac has released a teaser image for the second supercar, which will be unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Rimac promises its next-generation electric supercar will be even faster and more powerful than the Concept One and says it will be a “true game changer”.  For reference, the Concept One produces 1,224 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque, can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 mph.

This teaser image is pretty dark, but we can see Rimac’s second car, which has been internally codenamed ‘Concept Two’, will appear more like a traditional supercar than the elongated, streamlined Concept One. Based on the door framing, it also appears as though it could feature McLaren-style dihedral doors.

There’s a couple of good reasons to be confident in Rimac’s claims for its new supercar. In addition to delivering a very impressive product on its first-ever attempt at making a supercar, Rimac recently received a $30m investment from Camel Inc. – Asia’s largest battery supplier. Camel is also reportedly helping Rimac increase the power density of its batteries and make them lighter.

A distributor for Rimac recently confirmed to us the company has this new supercar in the pipeline for a few years now and that is was developed from the ground-up entirely. It will be sold through a network of five retailers in the US, which will be announced along with the debut of the car next March. Currently, the only Rimac retailer in the US is New York’s Manhattan Motorcars.

Look for more details on Rimac’s new supercar to come to light as its March debut date approaches.
