Tesla Wants an Old-School Drive-in Diner and Supercharger Combo

At this point, it’s hard to know whether Tesla CEO Elon Musk is being serious or not when he tweets one of his crazy ideas.

From digging tunnels underneath Los Angeles to launching a Tesla Roadster into space, Musk easily has the most entertaining Twitter feed out of all automotive CEOs. All things considered, Musk’s latest tweet of an idea isn’t even that crazy, as he plans to put in “an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations” in Los Angeles, California. He elaborated in a response to another Twitter user that there will, of course, be popcorn, as well as an outdoor screen that plays a highlight reel of the best scenes in movie history.

Another user asked if they will be able to just order straight from the Tesla touchscreen, which Musk responded with, “Good idea. We can just have the menu pop up as soon as you put the car into park.”

Hopefully, this idea pans out a bit better than the battery swap station, which no one ever really used. It makes sense because people waiting for their car to charge need to be entertained and recharge as well.
