The production Porsche Mission E should be making its debut in the near future.
Bowing as a concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche has recently been spy testing what appears to be a near-production prototype of the Mission E. Just recently at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the German automaker previewed a possible crossover variant, suggesting that more body styles based on the Mission E are also in development.
For now however, this render will have to serve as our best look yet at the upcoming Tesla Model S fighter. For the most part, the production version of the Mission E is expected to adhere closely to the concept, especially given its positive reception with the general public.

It will be Porsche’s first fully-electric offering and should arrive dealerships before the end of next year. The company has said it will be priced around $85,000 but it’s still unclear how much power and range it will have. The concept featured around 600 horsepower from its electric motors, along with all-wheel drive and 800-volt fast charging. It had a theoretical range of 310 miles, all specs that would make it competitive with the Model S.
Porsche has been testing the Mission E prototype at the Nurburgring, so we know the company is serious about its performance. And if it looks anything like this render, Tesla is going to have some serious competition.
