Porsche has released additional teaser images of its new Mission E electric sedan.
The production version of Porsche’s upcoming EV, which won’t use the Mission E name, by the way, has already been spied testing on a number of occasions. Those photos were of heavily camouflaged prototypes, some of which even had fake exhaust tips mounted on to fool prying eyes, but now the German automaker has released official teaser photos that give us a better idea of what the sedan will look like.
Based on these photos, it seems as the production Mission E will be heavily inspired by the concept but will feature less exaggerated styling elements. For example, the vertically-mounted vents seen flanking the headlights on the concept appear on the production car, but are smaller and less prominent. The sedan will also sport a Panamera-inspired fastback shape, but will have a traditional trunk instead of a hatchback. The side mirrors also appear to feature aerodynamically optimized mounting arms made of matte black plastic.
The most expensive version of the Mission E will have around 600 hp on tap, enabling it to spring from 0-62 mph in under 3.5s. More importantly, it will have a usable driving range of around 311 miles, or 500 kilometers, on a single charge. Less powerful versions with around 400 hp and 530 hp are expected to arrive as well.
