Those anxiously waiting for more information on the high-performance Tesla Model 3 variants will have to wait just a few more days.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed the American automaker will enable orders next week for the dual motor, all-wheel-drive Model 3 variant along with a Performance model. Musk also said that production of those versions are expected to start in July, while air suspension won’t be added to the Model 3 until next year.
Currently, Tesla is only producing one version of the Model 3, which is rear-wheel drive, comes with the long-range battery, and the premium interior package. The goal was to limit the options available as Tesla ramps up production.
