The Porsche Taycan is the German automaker’s first fully electric vehicle and the anticipation is so high that production has already been increased to meet the high demand.

Up until now, however, the Taycan’s debut and release date have been somewhat of a mystery. Our friends at TaycanEVForum.com found a Tweet that claims the Taycan will officially debut in September 2019 and that deliveries will begin in January 2020. A September debut makes a lot of sense, as that’s when the Frankfurt Motor Show will take place. It’s typically an important show for Porsche, as it happens in the company’s home turf.

It’s clear from the Twitter user’s profile that he appears to be an EV enthusiast. He says his Porsche representative was the source of the Taycan’s release and debut dates and that U.S. orders will open up again one month before the debut.
