Will the facelift drive sales to the overlooked EV?

The Jaguar I-Pace has been a somewhat forgotten entry into the EV crossover market, going on sale in 2018. Despite a big battery, sizable range, and eye-catching styling, the model hasn’t achieved all that much success compared to similarly sized and priced EV crossovers. Still, maybe things can turn around with a facelift: Jaguar has refreshed the I-Pace for 2024.

Most of the changes seem to be limited to the exterior, paint and trim distinctions. The front faux grille insert changes from a patterned design to a smooth blank panel. The lower valence and rear spoiler are now body color instead of gloss black. The I-Pace gets new wheels options, and two new satin finish paint options.

Jaguar hasn’t hasn’t changed much inside, with the layout looking identical to the old car. The brand says that a Pivi Pro infotainment system is standard, with Amazon Alexa, What3words, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Otherwise, the 2024 Jaguar I-Pace is the same as the previous model. It has the same 394 horsepower twin-motor, AWD powertrain backed up by a 90-kilowatt-hour battery. Its 11kw on board AC charger should allow it to take on 33 miles of range per hour when plugged into the appropriately fast level 2 charger. The whole getup should be enough to propel the I-Pace from 0-60 in as little as 4.5 seconds, according to Jaguar.

The 2024 Jaguar I-Pace is already available to order in the UK, with announcements for other markets likely coming very soon.
