Chevrolet is previewing its next all-electric vehicle at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
As the American automaker looks towards next-generation EV technology, the Chevrolet Bolt concept previewed an affordable electric vehicle that will have a range of over 200 miles and will be priced competitively at around $30,000. If those specifications sound familiar to you, it’s also what Tesla is aiming for with its future Model 3.

Though compact in size, the company’s designers aimed to maximize interior space with the Bolt concept while the body consists of lightweight materials including aluminum, magnesium and carbon fiber. Tesla is aiming to have its Model 3 available on the market by 2016 so it’s likely that the Bolt will lag behind being introduced to the market in 2017.
