The first production Tesla Model X could make its debut on September 29, 2015.
The American automaker has sent out invitations to the Model X launch event that will take place in Fremont, Calif., at Tesla’s newly acquired property, the former Solyndra factory. Expect more details on the Tesla Model X to be revealed, including the base price, since Tesla has only been selling Signature Editions for those that were early on the waiting list. It is believed that the entry-level Tesla Model X will be priced close to the Tesla Model S that starts at $76,200 before incentives and including destination.

It is unclear if Tesla will deliver the first production crossover at the launch event, or if it will simply share details on the car and give it a proper unveiling. Earlier this month, Tesla sent out invitations for buyers to configure their Tesla Model X Signature Editions that starts at $133,200 including destination. Those models feature the 90-kWh battery with the electric motors providing 503 horsepower to all four wheels, giving the Model X a zero-to-60 time of 3.8 seconds.
Check back next week for more information on the Tesla Model X once it is officially introduced to the world.
