The Tesla Model X will make its official debut tonight, but one thing that won’t be a surprise is its all-electric range.
The 2016 Tesla Model X 90D will return 92 mpge (miles per gallon equivalent) combined and will have a driving range of 257 miles. Those opting for the more powerful P90D will make a slight sacrifice to 89 mpge combined and a maximum driving range of 250 miles. The figures aren’t as great as the Model S, but that’s expected, given the Model X’s additional weight and change in aerodynamics compared to the sedan. The Tesla Model S 90D gets 100 mpge and a 270-mile driving range while the P90D is rated at 93 mpge and a range of 253 miles.

After numerous delays and leaked photos, the Tesla Model X will make its official debut tonight as the first deliveries take place in Fremont, California. Although standard pricing has not yet been revealed, CEO Elon Musk has said that it will cost about $5,000 more than a comparable Model S. Those who were first on the pre-order list had to get Signature Edition models that started at $133,200 at destination charges and before any tax incentives.
Check back later tonight when the Tesla Model X makes its official debut for all the details on the all-electric crossover.
