The 2016 Nissan Leaf will have a starting price of $29,860 including destination.

The major change to the 2016 Nissan Leaf is the addition of an available 30-kWh battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of 107 miles. The new battery is standard on the Leaf SV and Leaf SL models, which start from $35,050 and $37,640 respectively. Pricing does not take into account any federal or state tax credits and incentives. In addition to the new battery, Nissan has also added an enhanced 5.0-inch infotainment system that is more user-friendly while giving drivers greater vehicle connectivity.

The Leaf SV and SL models add NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps, featuring a 7.0-inch color display with multi-touch control and Nissan Voice Recognition. Also standard on the SV and SL grades is the NissanConnect EV system that allows remote connection to the vehicle, providing monitoring of battery state-of-charge, start charging event control and turning on the heating and air conditioning system prior to entering the vehicle.

All 2016 Nissan Leaf models are powered by a 80kW AC synchronous motor providing 107 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque. The standard Leaf S model with a 24-kWh battery gets an estimated all-electric driving range of 87 miles on a full charge.
