The Faraday Future concept has leaked ahead of its official debut.
The mysterious electric automaker is reportedly backed by a Chinese billionaire and has announced that it will build a $1 billion plant in Nevada to manufacture its first vehicle that will officially bow at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show. A user on Twitter came across Faraday Future’s app on iOS that shows off what the concept will entail. Along with an image of the futuristic all-electric vehicle, it appears that it will feature an electric powertrain packing over 1,000 horsepower giving it a 0-60 mph time of less than three seconds. It will also have a top speed over 200 mph and boasts “customizable modular battery string technology.”

Another highlight from the leak is the vehicle’s “tail fin” that is being described as an aerodynamic design that provides directional stability while doubling as an advanced digital canvas display. The inside of the concept has been ergonomically designed to act as a natural extension of the driver, boasting an ultramodern interior with a user-centric UI. Faraday Future is hoping that the interior blurs the boundary between the passenger and vehicle itself, according to the leaked app image.
It also appears that the concept could be driven by a human being or used in autonomous mode.
Faraday Future will officially unveil the car later tonight at 8:00 PM PST / 11:00 PM EST, so expect more details then.
