Putting our childhood Jeep Powerwheels to shame, Radio Flyer (of red wagon fame) and Tesla have unveiled a Tesla Model S for kids. As “the first and only kids ride-on to use flight-speed lithium-ion technology,” the little car has working headlights, turbine rims and a premium paint finish with real Model S colors.
Parents can control the car’s speed with a toggle switch in the back. It can be set to a maximum of 3 mph for beginners, or 6 mph for those speed demons craving “Ludicrous Speed.”
The companies also claim the toy has the longest run rime and fastest charging time, and the plug used even looks just like the one used on the real Model S. A full charge takes three hours. You can also buy backup batteries and charge them externally while the other batteries are in use and swap them out after. Interesting concept… maybe that can do this with the real Model S?
SQUEE! There’s even a little frunk (front trunk) and the toy even comes with a little car cover that looks exactly like the ones used on real Model S!
