Current Tesla Model S and Model X owners will have priority when it comes to pre-ordering the new Model 3.
The American electric automaker has sent out invites to current owners for the Model 3’s upcoming debut on March 31 and on the invite it says, “As a current owner who has supported Tesla and our mission, your reservation will take priority and be placed ahead of non-owners.” Reservations for the new Tesla Model 3 will begin on March 31 at 10:00 AM Pacific at Tesla Stores as well as online.
As for the event, only 650 individuals will be able to attend and those that wish to go will have to reserve a spot in a random lottery drawing.

Earlier today, Tesla sent out a teaser for the Model 3 that will be unveiled at the end of the month. The company cautions that it is just a prototype and won’t be the final production model, but it is unlikely significant changes will be made considering it will begin accepting pre-orders. In other words, what we see March 31 should be a very good representation of what to expect when the entry-level sedan starts rolling off the assembly line.
