Famous vacuum manufacturer Dyson is reportedly working on an electric car.

According to a report from The Guardian, the company is developing an EV with help from the government. It appears that the U.K. government accidentally disclosed the information with the release of its National Infrastructure Delivery Plan. “The government is funding Dyson to develop a new battery electric vehicle at their headquarters in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. This will secure £174m of investment in the area, creating over 500 jobs, mostly in engineering,” it said in the plan.

Dyson is an innovative company with a keen sense of smart, minimal design that makes highly efficient motors in its products that could be used in electric cars. Dyson is most well-known for vacuum cleaners, but the company also manufactures hand dryers and bladeless fans. Last year, Dyson CEO Max Conze was asked whether the company was developing an electric car to which he replied: “We are ruling nothing out. Like our friends in Cupertino [Apple] we are also unhealthily obsessive when it comes to taking apart our products to make them better.”

Last October, the company acquired solid-state battery manufacturer Sakti3, which founder Sir James Dyson said had “developed a breakthrough in battery technology.”
