Volkswagen is calling back about 5,561 units of its all-electric Golf to fix an issue which can cause an engine stall.

In the affected units, an electrical surge may falsely be detected by oversensitive diagnostics, causing the electric motor to unexpectedly shut down. No accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of this issue.
