Tesla has revealed the updated Model S, sporting a new face and some fresh features.

Up front, the Model S ditches its front grille in favor of a small unit that sits at the front of the hood, reminiscent of the Model X crossover. Out back, the taillights have been tweaked slightly with a new dark area that separates the turn signals from the brake lights.

The update isn’t just about looks either. According to info listed on Tesla’s consumer website, range on 90D models has been boosted from 270 miles up to 294 miles while range on the high-performance P90D jumps from 253 miles to 270 miles. A new 48-amp charger is also being included with the Model S which should improve charge times.

Tesla has also confirmed that the Model S will get the same “bio-weapon defense mode” system as the Model X, which is a HEPA air filtration setup which is said to remove 99.97% of particulate pollution from the cabin air.

Rumor has it that Tesla is also preparing a high-performance P100D model that will sit atop the range, though the brand hasn’t announced anything yet. The current Model S can make the run to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds thanks to ludicrous mode.
