The facelifted Tesla Model S is more than just a fresh nose.

When the updated Tesla Model S was introduced, we already knew that the all-electric range on the 90D model improved from 270 miles to 294 miles. But a closer look at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s numbers reveal that the facelifted Tesla Model S 90D returns 303.2 miles on the highway, meaning the Model S is capable of traveling more than 300 miles on a single charge.

That range is achieved, however, under ideal conditions of a steady speed of 65 mph, 70-degree weather and not using climate controls, but the fact it crossed the 300-mile threshold is still impressive.

The updated Tesla Model S was introduced earlier this month sporting a much smaller grille, similar to what’s found on the Model X crossover. The American automaker has also tweaked the tail lights with a new dark area that helps separate the turn signals from the brake lights.

It will be interesting to see how Tesla can improve on the Model 3 before it enters production, now that the Model S is capable of traveling more than 300 miles on a single charge, albeit only under very specific conditions.
